Erin Genett
Hailing from Rochester, New York, Erin Genett has been creating art since before she can remember. Throughout her youth, Erin jumped at every opportunity to explore her creative side and hone her artistic skills. In 2002 Erin moved to Boston to attend Northeastern University, majoring in both Graphic Design and Multimedia Studies. Throughout her college career Erin exhibited a passion for the intersection of art and technology, taking on a number of interdisciplinary projects.
Erin spent the summer of 2006 in Ireland to studying fine arts at the Burren College of Art with a focus on abstract painting and color studies. Immersed in the Irish countryside, she rediscovered her artistic roots, experimenting with different styles and mediums. The experience left an impression, and to this day Erin continues to bring handmade and organic qualities into her computer-based designs. Graduating with honors in 2007, Erin immediately returned to Northeastern where received her Masters degree in Technological Entrepreneurship the following year. An experienced web designer by this point, Erin took her passion for innovation and ideation to Berklee College of Music where she became the Senior User Interface Designer for the PULSE Music Method, a realtime and web-based music education method used by high school aged students throughout the nation. On top of her Berklee gig, Erin keeps her chops fresh by working with local musicians, drawing inspiration from the rich history of visual art that has accompanied the performing arts.
